Miss V

Confidence can be something you’re blessed with or something you work to achieve, and it’s different for every woman. Some love to be the center of attention, while others are more comfortable behind the scenes. So much goes into a woman’s confidence, and it’s not a one-size-fits-all feeling, especially when they book a boudoir session.

Many don’t know what to expect when they get in front of our lens, but Miss V was “feeling excited” as she prepared for her session. We couldn’t wait to see what the session would reveal.

For the lovely Miss V, she was blessed with that natural confidence. Before her session, she shared that while she “feels pretty good on a regular basis,” she has a habit of covering her belly. We asked her just why she felt “pretty good,” and she revealed that even though she was a strong, beautiful woman that loves to show off her legs, she’s less confident with her belly.

Most women have aspects that they’re not fully confident about, and we love the challenge of showing them the beauty in what they believe to be a flaw.

We asked what Miss V was most looking forward to out of her session, and for her, it was seeing herself look different. We weren’t sure what she meant by that, but we garnered a guess that it meant seeing herself from a different point of view or in a way that she doesn’t normally present herself. Since she booked her session purely for the joy of it, we knew it was going to be an amazingly beautiful time.

During the shoot, it’s important for us to touch base and see what feelings may be brought up. Some women start to break out of their shell more and more, others show caution to the wind, and some turn introspective. Miss V, though, said that the experience was brining out feelings of pleasure and joy, and that she was having an amazing time.

As the shoot progressed, Miss V became more and more confident with her entire body, including her belly, and shared that we made her feel beautiful and sexy with our positive reinforcement.

When the women in front of our lens share these kind words with us, it validates everything we’re doing, and shows that we’re helping these women tap into another part of themselves they may have lost or are discovering for the first time.

Nearly every shot taken of Miss V showed the inner and outer beauty that she has been blessed with. Her confidence, though high at the start, continued to rise, and as the shoot came to a close, she was able to see some of the raw images on our camera. Miss V shared at that moment that this experience helped her feel better about her body, and that at 61 years old, “she still got it.'“
